The HPL laminate is a material made from layers of cellulose fibre, soaked in thermosetting resins that then undergo a combined and simultaneous action of pressure and heat, which is carried out in special presses for a specific period of time that can vary depending on the type of laminate.
The heat (140/150 °C) and high pressure (>7MPa) actions this material undergoes, enable it to have exceptional quality of hardness and resistance to scratched, crashes, abrasions, chemical agents, bacteria and heat. The UNICOLOR laminate’s peculiarity consists in being homogeneously coloured in all its thickness compared to a normal laminate thickness that is dark brown. The surface and the front border are lined with a 1.2 mm thick UNICOLOR HPL laminate. The laminated has a water repellent chipboard support panel.
